Artist's Comments

This piece is shaped by hammer and hand from 16ga stainless steel. All seams have been welded with a very special process known as purge welding in an argon gas atmosphere for maximum strength and purity. After welding and shaping, the helm was polished by hand to a flawless mirror finish and the flamed look was applied with a special technique for contrast.

This one of a kind helm also includes custom fitted, perfectly balanced leather head gear.

As well this majestic piece can be purchased with a granite display stand crafted exclusively for this helm for an additional $125.00. Thank you for viewing this piece and feel free to e-mail with more questions.

CRAP! That thing is awesome... If I knew the first thing about welding I could critique the helm better, but I can't... Poo

This is some badass forgework, friend. All I can reccommend is reducing the size of the image ever so slightly so that the FullView isn't just a wide swath of shiny.

Very nice piece. Your seams are amazing. I've yet to figure out a tig welder. I'm going to be keeping an eye on your site.

Wow, that's just amazing. *drawn to the shininess*

Nice welds, They still look like welds, though, something to think on in the future, if you want them to look like welds or not. The torch oxidiation is a nice little touch, I try to include that in a few of my pieces when permitted. It's a nice start, but when you go with something that big and shiny you should think about adding some etching to take off the glare. Something simple. Overall nice work, just a lot of work. And thank god you were wearing clothing when you took the pick, lots of shiny and no clothing hurt!

Very nicely done here, Gordon. Welding and all that is a bit beyond my means, skillwise and monetarily. LOL
Keep up the great work!
